1 (18.25 oz) box devil's food cake mix
1 large egg
4 oz Cool whip
1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar
Mix together cake mix, egg and cool whip-dough will be very sticky. Stir in pecans if desired. Dust hands with powdered sugar and roll dough into 3/4" balls. Coat balls with powdered sugar and place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool. Makes 5 dozen.
