Basic Sugar Cookie


2 cups butter
6 cups flour
2 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
3 eggs
4 tablespoons milk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Divide dough in half (or sixths). Chill 1 hour.
Roll out half of dough 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. Cut out cookies in desired shapes.
Use greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 minutes.
