Ginger Krinkles

1 Cup Butter
1 1/2 cups Sugar
1 Large Egg
2 Tablespoons corn syrup
1/2 Cup Molasses
3 Cups Flour
2 Tsp. Baking Soda
2 Tsp. Cinnamon
1 Tsp. Ginger
1/4 Tsp. Ground Cloves
1/4 Tsp. Salt
1/4 Cup sugar for coating

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Combine soft butter, sugar, egg, corn syrup and molasses in bowl. Beat on low speed with mixer until blended and smooth.
Add remaining ingredients (except 1/4 cup sugar. Mix with a spoon. Roll into 1 1/2 inch balls.

Put 1/4 cup sugar in small bowl. Dip each ball into sugar. Arrange balls on ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 12-14 minutes.

Cool 2 minutes then remove from sheet.

Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
